Luggage for easyJet 2026: UK Size & Weight Guide

Flying from the UK with easyJet? The bag you can bring depends on its full size and the allowance attached to your booking. There is a free small under-seat bag; a larger overhead cabin bag depends on your booking or an applicable benefit.

Free small cabin bag

Every customer can bring one small under-seat cabin bag for free, up to 45 × 36 × 20cm, including handles and wheels. It must fit under the seat in front. The maximum weight is 15kg, and you must be able to lift and carry it yourself. A small trolley case, handbag, rucksack or laptop bag may work if it meets the measurements and fits beneath the seat.

Large cabin bag

An additional large bag can measure up to 56 × 45 × 25cm, including handles and wheels, and weigh up to 15kg. It must fit in an overhead locker. Customers can book a large cabin bag for their flight; easyJet says that booking one also includes Speedy Boarding. easyJet Plus members and Inclusive Plus customers may have large-bag benefits, but the details and available space matter. An automatically allocated Up Front or Extra Legroom seat does not itself grant a large-bag allowance. Check your own booking rather than assuming a particular seat or fare includes one.

The maximum number of cabin bags per person is two: the small bag plus a large bag when that large bag is included with a qualifying booking or membership benefit, or added to the flight. easyJet says a large bag without the right entitlement or a bag exceeding the allowed size may be placed in the hold and charged; check the current fee schedule for your journey.

Hold luggage

easyJet lists 15kg and 23kg hold-bag options. Extra weight can be added online in 3kg increments, up to a maximum of 32kg for a single bag. Each customer, including children and infants, can bring up to three hold bags. The maximum total size of a hold bag (length + width + height) is under 275cm.

If family or friends travel on the same flight and booking, easyJet says they can pool their total purchased hold-baggage weight across the total number of booked hold bags, provided no single bag exceeds 32kg. Weight cannot be pooled between hold bags and sports equipment. Check your booking for what you have purchased or what your fare includes; do not assume a hold bag is included.

easyJet says hold luggage can be added in Manage Bookings up to two hours before departure and that adding online before travel is cheaper than paying at the airport. Check current charges before buying.

Before buying or packing luggage, check your booking confirmation and easyJet's latest baggage policy. Compare full external dimensions, including wheels and handles, and weigh the packed bag. Check any connecting airline separately.

Cases to consider

If your booking includes a large cabin bag, compare the KONO K1997L 20-inch PP case with the allowance. Its Black product listing gives external dimensions of 55 × 40 × 20cm and an empty weight of 2.64kg. Another option is the British Traveller 20-inch softshell case, listed at 50 × 40 × 20cm and 2.58kg for the Black version. These are stated product specifications, not airline approval; check current listings and your booking before ordering.
