Luggage for Jet2 2026: UK Size & Weight Guide

Flying from the UK with Jet2? Start with the baggage allowance on your booking, then choose a case that meets the size and packed-weight limits. Check Jet2's latest information and your booking before travelling.

Jet2 hand luggage

On Jet2.com flights, each passenger except infants has one hand-luggage bag included, weighing no more than 10kg and measuring no more than 56 × 45 × 25cm, including wheels and handles. You may also bring one small under-seat bag, such as a handbag or laptop bag, no larger than 40 × 30 × 20cm; it must fit beneath the seat in front.

On busy flights, Jet2 may place your 10kg hand-luggage bag in the hold. Jet2 offers a separate Guaranteed Cabin Luggage option if you want to keep that bag in the cabin; check your booking for its terms and price.

Jet2 hold luggage

Jet2.com says you can add up to three 22kg hold bags per person per flight, excluding infants. Check your booking to see what baggage you have already purchased or what your package includes. Bag prices and excess charges vary; check current rates before booking.

Before choosing or packing a case, check your booking confirmation and Jet2's latest baggage policy. Measure the full exterior including wheels and handles, and weigh the bag when packed. Jet2holidays package entitlements should be checked in the individual holiday booking rather than assumed from the Jet2.com flight-only rules.

What to look for in a bag

• Published dimensions: compare the case's complete exterior size with the allowance for the bag you plan to take.
• Empty weight: a lighter case leaves more of your purchased weight allowance for your belongings.
• Handles and wheels: consider how easily you can lift and move a packed case through the airport and on your trip.
• Expansion: an expandable case may become too large when filled, so measure it in the condition you will use it.

Cabin cases to consider

The KONO 16-inch Sculpted Horizontal case is one option if you prefer a compact hardshell case. For a different layout, compare the British Traveller and other cabin-size cases in our range. Read each product's current dimensions and empty weight before comparing it with Jet2's allowance. No case is guaranteed acceptance just because it is labelled ‘cabin size’.

Travelling with children or essentials?

Jet2 has separate provisions for children and infants, including up to two qualifying child or infant equipment items free of charge and an additional infant allowance. Check the exact terms for your family booking. Jet2 also says power banks, e-cigarettes and spare lithium batteries belong in hand luggage, not checked baggage, subject to its safety requirements.

Before you fly

Check your flight or holiday booking, Jet2's current rules, and the current product listing before buying a bag. Keep items you may need during the flight in your permitted under-seat bag, particularly if your larger hand-luggage bag could be moved to the hold on a busy flight.
