Wizz Air Luggage Allowance 2026: The Complete Guide

Flying from the UK with Wizz Air? Choose a bag using the allowance on your booking, not just a label that says 'cabin size'. Wizz Air distinguishes a free under-seat carry-on from a larger trolley bag brought on board with WIZZ Priority. Check its latest rules before travelling.

Free carry-on bag

Wizz Air says each passenger can bring one free carry-on bag on board, up to 40 × 30 × 20cm and 10kg. It must fit beneath the seat in front. It may be a small backpack, laptop bag or handbag. Check the latest airline policy for how handles and wheels are treated; Wizz Air's rules say the listed size excludes handles and wheels, but wheels must add no more than 5cm.

Trolley bag with WIZZ Priority

With WIZZ Priority added to the booking, Wizz Air says you may bring a second, larger trolley bag on board, up to 55 × 40 × 23cm and 10kg. It must fit in the overhead compartment. With Priority, the total is two onboard pieces: the free under-seat bag plus the trolley bag. Do not assume a larger cabin case is included without Priority simply because it fits those dimensions.

Checked-in bags

Wizz Air lists checked-bag options of 10kg, 20kg, 26kg or 32kg, with maximum dimensions of 149 × 119 × 171cm and up to six checked bags per passenger. The listed measurements are dimensions, not a combined total. These bags can be purchased; bundles such as WIZZ GO and WIZZ PLUS may also include baggage. Check your specific bundle and booking to see what is included rather than assuming every fare has or lacks a checked bag.

Baggage can be selected during booking, added later via a WIZZ Account or Call Centre, or purchased at the airport; Wizz Air says airport purchases have additional fees. Exact prices depend on the booking, so check current charges before travelling.

Choosing a bag

For the free under-seat allowance, compare a small bag's full size and packed weight with the rules attached to your booking. For WIZZ Priority, compare a larger case or carry-on with the trolley-bag allowance. A case's size when empty does not guarantee that it will be accepted once packed, and neither a hardshell nor softshell case is automatically right for every traveller.
